ÍNDIOS NA CIDADE - TERRITORIALIDADE E EXCLUSÃO SOCIAL: UMA ANÁLISE COM BASE NA OBRA “O CORTIÇO”

RESUMO
O estudo das relações socioculturais nos grandes centros urbanos do Brasil é amplo e complexo. São várias as abordagens realizadas que versam o entendimento e a compreensão do meio urbano, das relações de classe e poder, de territorialidade e racialização. A abordagem do surgimento dos primeiros aglomerados urbanos, do desenvolvimento das grandes cidades e as relações socioculturais presentes nesse contexto pode ser vista na obra de Aluísio de Azevedo, livro intitulado O Cortiço. Elementos e situações descritas em O Cortiço podem ser vistas atualmente nas sociedades atuais ditas “modernas”. Tendo isso como base, busco analisar o modo de relação entre comunidades indígenas que vivem atualmente nas periferias das grandes cidades e suas formas de espacialização e meios de apropriação das esferas urbanas. Dessa maneira, busco fazer uma correlação entre territorialização e exclusão social, tentando criar um link dessas discussões com a obra O cortiço.

ABSTRACT
The study about the social cultural relationships in the big urban Brazil centres is wide and complex, there are several approaches made, that try to understand the urban environment, relationships between social classes and power, territoriality, racialization. In Aluísio Azevedos´s book “O Cortiço” we can find an approach about the arise of the firsts urban agglomerations, the big cities development and the social cultural relationships in that context. Elements and situations described in “O Cortiço” can be found currently in the so called “modern” societies, based on that I will try to analyse the relationships between indigenous communities living in the big cities outskirts at the moment, their ways of spatialization and ways of appropriation in the urban spheres, thus I´m looking to do the correlation between social exclusion and territorialisation trying to create a link about that discussions with the book “O Cortiço”.
